Roberto Nicholas Martinez

Roberto was a faithful member of Templo El Buen Samaritano in Houston, where he was deeply involved in church life. He assisted with church activities and was well known for cooking breakfast for the residents of the home. His commitment to his faith, church, and community was unwavering.

In his personal life, Roberto cherished spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed going to the lake to fish and play with his nephews and children, making it a treasured family ritual. These moments brought joy and togetherness, creating lasting memories for those he loved.

Roberto was a leader in his home and in his faith, never afraid to spread the Word of the Lord. Through trials and tribulations, he found guidance in his faith and did all he could to help others discover the same joy he felt in the Lord’s light.

He was a shepherd to those fortunate enough to know him, always willing to help anyone he crossed paths with—feeding the hungry and sharing his faith with those who would listen.

Roberto will be remembered as a loving son, father, uncle, brother, nephew, leader, friend, and a loyal servant of the Lord.

Roberto was preceded in death by his father, Jose A. Martinez; and his grandparents, Elisa Gray Martinez and Pete Martinez Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Martinez; his brother, Juan Martinez and wife Apple Martinez; his brothers Joe A. Martinez Jr., Polo Martinez, and Anthony Gonzalez; his aunts Juanita Hernandez and Maria Rodriguez; his cousins Priscilla Garcia and Chad Farris; his daughter Audrie Johnson; his stepchild Tyrone Pruitt and other extended family members; including his beloved nephews and nieces Anthonie, Aaron, and Adrian Farris; Sofia Esquivel-Rojas and Bella Martinez.

Visitation will be held at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, located at 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050, on January 23, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Roberto’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
