Rodolfo Leyva

Rodolfo was a loving family man and was surrounded by his closest loved ones when he passed. After fighting his toughest battle for almost two years, he finally gained his wings and met God at the beautiful white gates of heaven.

Our father spent most of his life, since the age of 16, as a lead maintenance engineer. He loved his career with a passion. He was the best when it came to fixing anything in our houses, that is one of the many things we could rely on him for. Unfortunately, we no longer have that, but we’re grateful for all the life lessons and handy “side jobs“ he taught us.

Rodolfo is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Leyva, mother, Guadalupe Davila and three of his siblings.

He survived by his wife, Dolores C. Leyva; siblings, Patricia, Ramona, Henry, Susana and Amelia. He is also survived by his children, Rodolfo Leyva Jr., Daniel Leyva, Anthony Camacho, Gianna Basora, Bianca Basora, Fabian Leyva, Purity Leyva and Precious Leyva; and several grandchildren who loved him dearly.

Rodolfo was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. Will never forget that smile and his bubbly personality. He will be greatly missed. Love you, Dad!

A reception for Rodolfo will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050.
