

Rogelio Tumang Cruz, 74, was born in Tarlac, Philippines to Conrado Cruz Sr. and Rosario Tumang Cruz on September 3, 1938. Attended Mapua Institute in Manilla, graduated in 1960 with degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. In 1971 he traveled to California for a better life for his family. With diligence, faith and the grace of God, he brought his family to live in Virginia, in the United States. Moved to Texas and became a resident of Grand Prairie for 37 years. His career included Fischbach and Moore International, Sam P. Wallace Co. and Super Collider. Always hungry for knowledge, continually studying, he was a certified financial advisor, licensed real estate agent, certified nutritionist and received certification in theological divinity. He enjoyed sharing the gospel, time with family and friends, traveling, reading, researching, eating his wife's delicious cooking and was generous to family and many charities/ministries. He also was very witty, loved pointing out he still had a full head of hair at 74! He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Belen Reyes Cruz; five children: Rovelyn Garcia (Daniel), Rowena Trovada (Nicolas), John Roy Cruz (Christi), Rhonda Walton (Bill), and John Roger Cruz; grandchildren: Jarrod, Amanda, Aaron, Christopher, Caitlin, Sarah, Alec, Joshua, Myles, Ciara, Joseph, Megan and Erik; siblings: Lita T. Cruz, Carolina Smith, Josephina Santiago, Nila David and Conrado Cruz Jr; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
