Roger Dale Monday

Roger Dale Monday was born on October 23, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, to Alvin R. Monday and Mable Louise (Ledford) Monday. He went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and service to others.

Roger grew up alongside his beloved siblings, Larry L. Monday, Billy Gene Monday, Alvin Ray Monday, Jr., and Barbara Ann Monday Ruyle. He treasured the lifelong bond they shared.

For more than ten years, Roger was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Irving, Texas. He found great joy in serving others through the church's charitable ministries and participating in its special events and fellowship. Roger often referred to the members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as his "church family," reflecting the deep love and appreciation he had for the congregation.

Roger will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering faith, generous spirit, and willingness to help others. His quiet strength and compassion touched the lives of many and will not be forgotten.

He is reunited with his parents, Alvin R. Monday and Mable Louise (Ledford) Monday, and his brother, Larry L. Monday.

He will forever be in the hearts of his siblings, Billy Gene Monday, Alvin Ray Monday, Jr., and Barbara Ann Monday Ruyle.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his nephew, Christopher Monday, and his nieces, Pamela Gayle Ruyle, Amy Kirby, and Samantha Kirby, along with many extended family members, friends, and his beloved church family.

Roger's legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Roger Dale Monday will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2620 W. Grauwyler Road, Irving, Texas 75061.
