

His passion and gift for working with cars led to a career as a master certified automotive technician. His hobbies included restoring classic cars, for which he won many awards and honors over the years. In particular, his restored 1929 Ford Model A Roadster made the cover of Hot Rod Magazine. Roland also loved drag racing, oldies music, and Elvis.
Roland is preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Donald Franklin Baldwin. He is survived by his two sons (Christopher Ethan Stokes and wife, Marsha; Jacob Roland Baldwin and wife Angelica) and his daughter (Tiana Marie Marmitt and husband, Mark). He is also survived by his grandchildren (Natalie, Ethan, Brody, Jaxon, and Chloe), and his siblings (Velma June Bork, Dolly Marie Winfield, Ronald Val Baldwin, and Donna Sue Abell), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Grand Prairie Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Prairie, Texas.
