Rosalio was born in a small town near Leon, Guanajuato Mexico in 1929. He moved away to Mexico City at a very young age to begin his course in life and new adventures. There, he was a shoe shine boy, then a shoe maker and finally finding and learning his love of baking.
Years later, he moved back to rejoin his family in Laredo, Texas. Then, after marrying the love of his life, Maria Tejeda (Hernandez) in 1957 and moving to Chicago, he would be trained by some excellent French and German bakers while working at Burney Bros. This would be his forever trade and livelihood. He then opened up his own bakery in Chicago and then in Dallas, Texas. Some years later he would also open and run his own taverns with the help of his wife.
He loved dancing, music, playing pool (was quite the shark and won several trophies) as well as loving the game of dominoes and cards.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maria Tejeda; children, Carlos Tejeda, Rosalia Tejeda, Sofia Tejeda Cuellar, Angelina Tejeda and Estela Tejeda Moreno; grandchildren, Daniel Tejeda, Gaspar A.
