

Rosario Martinez was called home by the Lord February 16, 2015. She was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas on January 26, 1937 to Anastacio Rodriguez and Angela Martinez. Rosario grew up in Nuevo Laredo. In 1959 she met Andres Martinez while they worked on the same street. They were married on July 28, 1962. In 1968 their family settled in Grand Prairie, TX, where Rosario was a homemaker who occasionally worked for the local school districts. Rosario had a thankful heart and lived a selfless life. She was a warm, gentle woman who gave the best hugs. She was an incredible care giver, great cook and talented whistler. Rosario enjoyed traveling, loved music, and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Because of her strong faith in God, she had the special gift of making each person feel like they were the most important person on earth, and that everything would work out according to God’s plan. Rosario was a dedicated wife and mother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Andres Martinez Marquez; daughters Angela Stiborek and her husband Leon, Martha Yeager and her husband Brad, Laura Hager and her husband Kevin, Claudia Martinez; grandchildren Robert Stiborek, Katie Stiborek, Kyle Yeager, Victoria Garza, Estevan Garza, John Hager; great-granddaughter Anya Garza; siblings Concepcion Rodriguez, Guadalupe Rodriguez and Rojelio Rodriguez.
