Faye was born February 11th, 1934, in Weldon, Texas to Clarance Ivins and Ruby Appleton Ivins. She was one of nine children. Faye was deeply rooted in her Christian faith and was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church until her death. Faye graduated from Lovelady Highschool. She married the love of her life, Delma Stanfield, on November 15th, 1954. They were blessed with two children, Loretta and Arthur. This marriage lasted 61 years until Delma's death in May, 2016.
Although Faye was a homemaker, she worked most of her career with Safeway as a front end manager until they closed. She also worked for American Greetings as a stocker until her retirement. She enjoyed praising her Lord and spending time studying His work.
Family was her passion. Faye's most valuable achievement was that of wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and finally as great great grandmother. She helped raise her grandchildren, acting as uber to various activities, keeping them after school, sleepovers, Awana events, trips to Six Flags, grandmother's week at the farm, and so much more. She was Nanny to many who knew her. She was passionate about her role as coach's mom and especially for sugar cookies she so lovingly made for the teams. Faye loved her church family and her extended family at Mountain Creek Retirement Center.
