
Stephen grew up in Killeen, Texas. His father was in the Army so he spent a few years living in Germany. He graduated from Killeen High School in 1964. In 1966 he enlisted in the US Air Force to avoid being drafted into the Army. Stephen served 14 years in the Air Force before being medically discharged.
Stephen attended a Junior College in Killeen and graduated from North Texas State University with his Bachelors Degree. He described his job as being a teacher's teacher. Later in life Stephen started up a business with his brother in their garage. Their company was 3D Collaters and they built flooring samples.
Stephen was a bit of a smart-alike and very witty. He loved taking trips to Las Vegas to visit his friends at the Nellis Air Force Base and partake at the casinos. He also enjoyed photography, taking pictures of military cemeteries and monuments were his specialty.
Stephen is preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth McDonald Driskell; father Percy Everett Drskell; brothers John Driskell, Robert Driskell.
He is survived by his brother Jerry Driskell; sister Sharon Driskell; nephew: Michael Carr, Bobby Driskell, Billy Driskell; niece Laura Carr; sister-in-law Sharon K. Driskell and dear friend Etelvina Solache.
