Talmage graduated from Washington High School in 1939. He entered the US Navy on July 3, 1940. He served during WWII and the Korean War. He retired as a Captain on June 30 1967.
Talmage was a fun loving man who was the founder of the Dallas Running Club and the Dallas Marathon. He was very social and loved to play his ukulele. He formed a small band that would travel to nursing homes to play for the tenants.
He is survived by his children Mike Morrison, Beverly Speece and her husband Gary; grandchildren John Price and his wife Amy, Michael Price, Major Steven Speece and his wife Alexandra, Molly Speece; great-grandchildren Gabe Speece, Isabella Price and Adeline Price.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home at 12:30pm with a committal service at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
