

Heaven welcomed home Thelma Kerr Helton, 96, on July 19, 2015. She was born October 31, 1918 in Bonham, TX. Thelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed being with family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church for 60 years. Thelma was a lifetime member of the PTA and post PTA. She worked for Montgomery Ward for 20 years. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Eddie Loyd Helton; sister, Eva Jean Woodall; sister-in-law, Theta Kerr; and nephew, James Kerr. Survived by: sons, Harold and Cynthia Helton and Dale Helton; daughter, Janis and Richard Roberson; grandchildren, Brian and DeAnn Roberson, David Roberson, Kathryn Wicks and Tyler, Laura Garrett and Brandon; and great-grandchildren, Samantha and Devin Roberson, and Ethan, and Gavin, Peyton and Everly Garrett; brother, Henry Clyde Kerr; niece, Judie Arndt; nephew, Michael Kerr and other relatives and friends.
Visitation: 6 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside Service: 2:30 pm, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Willow Wild Cemetery, 1220 West 7th St. in Bonham, TX 75418.
