Thomas Emmett Witt

Emmett was born on October 4, 1951, in Grand Prairie, TX to James Thomas Witt and Annie B Ford Witt.

Emmett enjoyed time with his family and friends. He loved his garden and outdoors. He was an expert fisherman. One of his favorite hobbies was racing with his brother David. They owned a Midget and a Sprint car and raced all over Texas and Oklahoma. In High School he would drag race his 57 Chevy on Corn Valley Road in front of where Bean-Massey-Burge is now sitting. He loved racing and fishing.

Emmett was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Witt and grandparents, Robert Emmitt Ford and Annie Reese Ford.

Emmett's survivors are his beloved wife of 20 years, Janet and sons, Bryan and Andrew Schulman; Bryan's wife Bekah and children Simon, Feivel and Margo and his best friend and brother David Witt and his niece Lauren Witt.

A visitation for Emmett and his mother Ann will be held Monday, July 18, 2022, from 4:30-8:30 at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Rd., Grand Prairie, Texas 75052.
