OBITUARY

Todd Patrick Allen

November 19, 1970April 20, 2013

Todd Patrick Allen, 42, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with his savior Saturday April 20, 2013. He was surrounded by family as he gently and quietly passed. Todd was born in California, also lived in Oklahoma and Maryland. He joined the Navy after graduating from high school in 1988. After the Navy he settled in Arlington, Texas ande met his wife Toni in 1994. They have three amazing children, Ashley, Brandon and Megan. Also survived by his parents Mike and Kay Allen of Midlothian, brother Richard Allen of VA, sister Teresa Coherd(Will) of Midlothian, brother Jason Allen (DeeDee) of CA, sister Shannon Allen of Euless, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his biological mother Patricia, his grandparents and sister Susan Ivey. He worked on helicopters and aircraft until his calling in youth ministry. At the time of his death, Todd was youth director at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Arlington. His focus was showing the youth how to be true disciples of Christ. He led by example, reminded them to focus on the cross, because nothing else matters. He said it wasn't about religion, it was about the relationship with God. Todd touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with in ministry. Loved by many and will be missed tremendously. We know Todd is in heaven and has heard the words "well done thy good and faithful servant". Our faith tells us this is not a goodbye so instead we will say...until we meet again.

Todd, while I didn't really get to hang with you and really get to know you well, I do know that you are a Huge man of Christ, and that you touched hearts and lives to everyone you met. I have always respected and looked up to you for your unfailing love for God and people. I will always pray for your family that they will know God's peace and comfort!

Todd was a good friend and great mentor. He taught me how to be a sound engineer and we would have frequent discussions about the message. God, thank you for the time he was on this Earth. I am sure you have greeted him with open arms and said "welcome home, good and faithful servant"

Todd you were such a wonderful influence on so many young men and women by guiding to Christ. With you and your leadership the youth program grew more and more each week. You were a wonderful Christian, husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend to all who knew you. You will be missed......until we meet again.
