Trisha Rene Stanford, age 52, passed away on April 27, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and the lasting impact of a life well lived.
Born on July 19, 1973, to her loving parents, Debra and Tom, Trisha was a kind-hearted, spirited woman whose greatest joy came from spending time with the people she loved. Whether it was trying something new, sharing one of her favorite hobbies, or simply enjoying each other's company, she treasured every moment with her family.
Trisha was a devoted Dallas Stars fan and enjoyed Harry Potter. She especially loved gathering with her family for trips to the Renaissance Faire, where they shared laughter, created lasting memories, and celebrated one of their favorite traditions together. She also loved collecting beanie hats, a hobby that reflected her fun personality and appreciation for the little things that made life special.
More than anything, Trisha was incredibly proud of her daughter, Abbie Stanford Smith. She embraced every moment of being a "dance mom," offering constant love, encouragement, and support. The bond they shared was one of the greatest blessings of her life and will forever remain a treasured memory.
Trisha will be remembered for her caring heart, her warm smile, and her ability to make those around her feel loved. She had a gentle spirit, a wonderful sense of humor, and a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable. Her love for her family was the foundation of her life, and that love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Abbie Stanford Smith; her parents, Debra and Larry Upchurch; her brother, Dale Upchurch; her partner, Josh Shepard; her best friend, Jennifer Roe; her uncle, Johnny Stanford; her aunt, Sharon Stanford; and her aunt, Vanda Ozment.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Stanford, and her brother, Philip Stanford.
Though she is no longer with us, Trisha's kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will never be forgotten. Her memory will continue to bring comfort and strength to all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
