

Vernon L Robinson, died on January 29, 2016 at his home in Grand Prairie, Texas. Vernon was born January 4, 1935 in Norwalk, Ohio to Homer and Glada Robinson. He was the eldest of their five children. Vern was a proud "Trucker" and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1953.
Vernon married soon after high school. He and wife Marcia had four children. Lizabeth, Keith,Tina and Kristi were all born in northern Ohio. The family relocated to Texas in the early 1970's.
Mr. Robinson inherited a strong work ethic. Vern worked for several retail companies including one of his first business ventures "The Garden Shop" which was located in Norwalk. Always a salesman he experienced a successful career with Dallas based Hydrotex Lubrication moving from local sales to national sales manager.
His early community involvement began with membership in the Jaycees and Salesmanship Clubs. Vernon was a long standing member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He worked along side Elks members in three lodges in Ohio and Texas and served as the Exalted Ruler of Lodge 730 in Norwalk.
Vernon's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife Eunice Rayetta Robinson, Longview, TX; siblings Alan and Beverly Robinson, Wendell and Nancy Robinson, Gwen Pettry and Teresa Robinson; children Lizabeth and Todd Groo, Tina and Larry Williams, and Kristi and Jon Shults; Grandchildren, Peter, April, Jenny, Christopher, Rachel, Shaun, Taylor, Jordan, Andrew, Hunter and Lacy; Great Grandchildren, Tad, Marilyn, Brittney, Joel and Bella; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, brother Melvin and son Keith.
