

Rahni grew up in southern California, where she graduated from Gardena High School. As a child she enjoyed acting, dancing and being silly. At the age of 5 her family moved to Japan for a year. Rahni was very intelligent; when she was 7 years old she would read the dictionary and could spell most words.She attended classes at Cerritos Junior College in California. In 1999 while working as an ADA Representative for a hotel in Utah, she met and fell in love with Sam Denton. He was remodeling the hotel where she worked in preparation for the Olympics. They were married in 1999 and traveled around the United States for his job. January 21, 2000 their son, Andrew “Drew” Charles Denton was born. After living in Atlanta, Nebraska, South Florida, and finally Delaware they settled in Dallas, TX in 2004. Rahni had a bubbly and out-going personality. She made friends easily and maintained most friendships over the years. She loved all genres of music and watching “The Voice”. She had a strong appreciation for the arts, a culinary flair and a wonderful sense of humor.Rahni enjoyed many things in life, but above all she cherished her son. They had a very close bond; encouraged his enthusiasm for education and the arts were but a few. Together they also enjoyed Law and Order marathons. Along with her son she loved her dog Bella. Bella was the sweetest pit-bull and they shared a common malady of both having hip problems.Rahni is survived by her son Drew Denton; mother Nancy Kilmurray and her husband Dave; father Frank Cathrill; sister Yvette Jaramillo; step-sisters Kari Kerby, Kathy Galassi; step-brother Ken Kilmurray; uncle Jimmy Mukes and his wife Barbara; aunts Nadine Powell and Brenda Mukes; Drew’s father Sam Denton and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
