Willard M. Shepherd Jr.

Mitch was born to Willard Shepherd Sr. and Ophelia Shepherd on March 25, 1951 in Dallas, TX. He attended school in the Dallas Independent School District where he played football and shot put. After graduating from JN Ervin High School, he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from UTA.

Mitch met Patricia in Dallas, TX and entered into holy matrimony on June 21, 1975. The love they shared and displayed impacted the lives of their children: Gillian and Marshelia.

His wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. Watching his grandsons play sports was something he was excited for every school year. Every holiday, it was known and no exception for his baby girl, Gillian, to make him Dressing. His simplest pleasure of fishing was his greatest pastime.

Mitch is predeceased by his parents and brother Sylvan Shepherd. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Patricia; his daughters: Gillian and Marshelia; his grandchildren: Xavier, Aaron, Laquinton, Darius, Jameisha, Kalyn, Tatiana, Jaiden, and Jaida; his great grandchildren Kristopher, Amorah, Kaiden, Oakland, Rayne, Kenneth, and Nova; and countless other relatives and friends who held him in the highest regard and loved him dearly.
