Wilma (Mom) was born April 18, 1930, her mothers name was Elsie Wachter. She married Parker Bryan Jr. October 2, 1948. Mom always boasted about how they ran off to Pocahontas, Arkansas and got married. Someone in the family asked if Parker was German everything was ok then.
To this union were born five children 3 girls and 2 boys. These children were mom and dad’s pride and joy. Wilma (Mom) always loved to brag about her grand children and “NOBODY” better argue about it.
Mom and Dad started attending Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Vinita Park, MO. in 1970, and the Lord became a precious part of their lives. Mom and Dad volunteered to serve as the church janitors, and mom treated the Church like it was her house she wanted everyone to come to a clean and fresh Sanctuary. Mom and Dad had some precious friends that attended the Church, and mom and Sister Russo always “Loved the Songs of the Church.”
To help take care of the needs of the family mom worked as nurse’s assistant, nursing home caregiver and she served as a plasma attendant. Then when they moved to Texas in 1980 mom worked as a rental store clerk and the assistant to the comptroller at Dallas Peterbilt.
Wilma is preceded in death by her Mother Elsie Deopke, her husband Parker Bryan Jr., and one daughter Susan Eckhoff, by two grandchildren Rachel Sanders and Russel Bryan. Mom had a special Uncle Bob who helped her mom a lot when the children were growing up.
