Obituary of Yvonne Sissler Hooper
Sister Yvonne Hooper was born in Marrero, LA on October 25, 1948. She was the daughter to the union of the late Isom Sissler and Aimee Couteaux Sissler. After giving her life to Christ she served as a faithful servant until the Lord called her home on November 30, 2021. She never wavered in her faith, dedication, or service to the Lord. Yvonne loved her Lord and Savior Yeshua (Jesus Christ). She was truly one of God's Earthly Angels and lived a life that pleased her heavenly Father. She lovingly and diligently poured her God-given love and wisdom into the spirits of all she encountered. Yvonne enjoyed reading and diligently studying her bible and talking about the goodness of "Her God." One of her favorite things to do was looking up new recipes and trying them. She was a WONDERFUL cook. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends and sharing God’s word. After spending time with the Father each day, she would send out daily messages to family and friends because she wanted them to know the love that the Father had for them and for them to know how to love the Father and others. She was beautiful inside and out. We are to strive to imitate Yeshua and Yvonne definitely imitated Yeshua (Jesus). When you spoke to her or saw her you knew that she had spent time with her heavenly Father. She reflected Yahweh’s love and compassion to everyone she met. She was a woman after God’s own heart. One of her heart’s desires was for her family and friends to know the whole truth of God’s word. Yvonne leaves a legacy of love and compassion of which we all should be striving to live, only what we do for Christ will last. She was preceded in death by her brother, Nolan Dumas. Loved ones forever cherishing her loving and compassionate spirit include, her husband, Larry Hooper, Grand Prairie, Tx; her children, Bryan Sandifer (LaTonya) of Harvey La. and Dionne M. Sandifer Sims (John W.) of Arlington, Tx; Stepchildren, Melvin Dudley and Krystle Hooper; Brothers, Melvin Sissler (Sheryl) and Cornell Sissler (Rose); Sister, Alberta Campbell; grandchildren, Bria Yvonne Sandifer, Shane Coleman, Kristian B. Sims, Kameron M. Sims; great grandchildren, Aiden M. Sims and Rainen A. Sims. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and beloved cherished friends, all too many to name.
