Ann Goolian Higgins

Ann Goolian Higgins, age 62, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 after a courageous two-year battle with Cholangiocarcinoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul S. and Joan H. Goolian. Ann will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Kehl Higgins; brother, Steven Goolian of Holland; sister, Virginia Daughtrey of Rockville, MD; aunt and uncle, Margo and Hugh Irwin of Rochester, NY; many cousins throughout the U.S., Mark (Patricia) Hawkins, Betsy (Cougas) Goolian, Kathy Goolian, Prarthana Sarkin, Susan (Dale) Meyer, Doug (Tari) Herman, Bruce Herman, Kathy (Fred) Celentano, Christine Biasetti, Jesse (Sue) Irwin, Amy (Lance) Toth, Allison (Peter) Irwin Jameson, and extended family including the Minasians, Najarians, Jorjorians, Oumedians, Kurkjians, Mulhausers, and hundreds of loving, devoted friends and admiring professional associates and co-workers. Ann graduated from Ottawa Hills H.S., Western Michigan University (B.S. Interiors & Housing) and The University of Central Oklahoma (M.A., Gerontology). She was also a certified Eden Alternative Associate and graduate of Dale Carnegie Sales and Leadership Development Training. She practiced her professional skills in interior design, marketing, sales, management and customer service at Virginia Tile Company in Grand Rapids; Williams Sonoma in Oklahoma City; and Belden Brick & Supply in Grand Rapids. She also worked for Concordia Life Care Community in Oklahoma where she helped in the marketing, development, and enhancement of retirement communities. Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel. A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 9:30 am at Reyers North Valley Chapel.
