Anthony "Tony" Sattemo Palazzolo of Comstock Park, age 89, passed away on February 26, 2025. A Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 3rd, 2025 at 11:00 am at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 6390 Belmont Ave NE, Belmont, MI 49306 with a luncheon to follow. The family will welcome guests one hour prior to the start of Mass. Following the service, interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
Tony was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on January 24, 1936, son of the late Vincent and Josephine Palazzolo. Tony is survived by: his wife, Bonnie Palazzolo; children, Steve (Lisa J.) Palazzolo, Lisa Palazzolo, and Tami (Gregg) Tawney; grandchildren, Kyle (Kara), Christopher, Mordekai, Liz (Oliver), Daniel, and Victoria; brother, Andrew (Linda); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Tony retired from the Michigan National Guard after 44 years of service. He was an avid golfer and bowler, as well as an active participant with his church group.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Folds of Honor or the Wounded Warrior Project.
