Bernice Mary Breen, aged 93, went to be with her Lord and was reunited with her husband, Francis, on Wednesday, February 12, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Valeria O’Donnell and her brother Leo (Delores) O’Donnell. Bernice is survived by her son Michael (Patricia) Breen. Also surviving are her 2 grandsons Chris and Joel Breen, her brother Robert O’Donnell, and many nieces and nephews. Bernice was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and will be remembered for her passion of art. She worked for many years at Michigan Bulb and as a City Election worker. Bernice was an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Parish and several senior citizen activity groups. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Parish (224 Carrier St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505) on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 11am. Please join the family at St. Alphonsus Parish from 10 to 11am for a time of visitation. Interment to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
