Betty Anne Lewkowski passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mary Jankowski, her sister Joan Boomgaard, her husband Ronald Lewkowski, and her grandson Koy Joseph Lewkowski. Betty is survived by her children, Timothy (Wendy) Lewkowski, Daniel (Jennifer) Lewkowski, and Steven (Tiffany) Lewkowski, along with her cherished grandchildren, Kamryn, Kate, Kalli, Dalton, Lanee, and Cade Lewkowski. She is also survived by her sister Jean (David) Betteridge, sisters-in-law Patricia Surman and Carol (Patrick) Manning, and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was a generous and compassionate woman, dedicating her time to various organizations in the community. She was deeply committed to her faith, actively participating in her church and bible study. Her passion for education was evident in her dedicated work as a paraprofessional at Northview Public Schools. Betty found immense joy in being involved in her grandchildren's activities and sporting events, where she was their enthusiastic supporter. Additionally, she cherished spending time with her friends, sharing many moments of laughter and companionship. Her loving spirit and dedication to her family, friends, and community will be dearly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial, with Fr. Ayub presiding, will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Jude Catholic Parish, 1120 4 Mile Road NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. The family will welcome guests one hour prior to the start of mass. Betty will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
