Betty was born November 14, 1929 to Richard and Laverne (Briggs) Rector in Kalamazoo. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved the company of her family. She loved both cooking and painting and was proud to have painted both the inside and outside of her house. She was an avid reader and especially loved books by James Patterson.
She is survived by her daughter Marie (Ken) Oberholtzer; daughter in-law Jane Millering; grandchildren Mike (Rose) Oberholtzer, Jeff (Mallory) Oberholtzer, Rob (Shannon) Kok, Greg (Autumn) Millering, and Matt Millering; great grandchildren Solaira and Oakley Oberholtzer.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Lavern Rector; her step-mother Hilda Rector; daughter Cheryl Kok; son Richard Millering; and her husband Lloyd Millering.
Betty will be laid to rest at Blythfield cemetery, 6200 Brewer Ave NE, Belmont, MI on Thursday July 6, 2023.
