Bonnie Jean Marks

Bonnie Jean Marks, age 69, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her residence on Lawrence St. where she had resided for over 50 years and had numerous close life long friends and neighbors. Bonnie loved cooking for family gatherings and many relatives will be grateful to continue on with her recipes. She took pride in her yard and loved to play the slots at many area casinos in Michigan and other areas of the U.S. Mrs. Marks was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Marks, Sr.; brother and sisters, Marilyn, Debbie, Doug and Andrea. She is survived by four children, Dawn Marks, Dale (Mary) Marks, Jr., Laura Russell, and Thomas Marks; five grandchildren, Rachael Marsman, Nicole Russell, Jessica Russell, Lauren Bush and Tyler Todd. Also surviving are five brothers and sisters, Natalie Thwaites, Nancy McMaster, Laurene (Mike) Cole, Valerie (Duane) Boyink, and Larry (Dionne) Campbell; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn McKellar and Dorothy Campbell and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services in celebration of the life of Bonnie Marks will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave., N.E. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 13 from 2 until 4 p.m. and again from 6 until 8 p.m. Those desiring may wish to make a contribution to Faith Hospice in memory of Bonnie Marks.
