He was preceded in death by his sister Beverly Stevens; his son-in-law Bobby Slupe and his best buddy John Sparks.
Ron is survived by his wife of 42 years, Priscilla; his daughter Sherri (Steve DeVries) Bovee, Kim Slupe and his stepdaughter Kim (John) Onderko; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his brother Lloyd (Gay) Bovee; his brother-in-law Ken Stevens and his sister-in-law Melissa Donovan as well as many other relatives.
Ron was a classy, patriotic and affable guy. His passions were sports cars, boating and spending his summers in Charlevoix on Lake Michigan. He was proud of his 4 years of service in the US Air Force. In his later years, he was very dedicated to his service on his condominium board.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday June 30, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Egypt Valley Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Charlevoix Humane Society.
