Carolyn Kay Hansen

Carolyn Kay Hansen, age 63, passed away peacefully while in the company of family on Saturday, May 26, 2018. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI in the summer of 1954 to J. DeWitt Jr. and Violet Shearer [Welch]. She was preceded in death by her father. Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years Larry Hansen, their children Christopher Hansen and Melissa (Joseph) Sheridan, her grandson, Bennett, as well as her brothers, Russell, Tom and Al Shearer, sister, Jenny Hawthorne, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Carolyn enjoyed knitting, gardening, riding her 3 wheeled bicycle and was an avid reader. She will be remembered as a devoted, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. A memorial service for Carolyn will take place at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Saturday June 9, 2018 at 2pm. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the time of the service.
