Charles Douglas Berg, age 63, of Mason passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at his home in Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman & Evelyn Berg and stepfather, Glen Spencer. Chuck will be lovingly missed by his sister, Sally Ferrentino (John Clayton), nephew, Joseph Ferrentino; niece, Kathryn Ferrentino (Tony Smith); and his best friend, Greg Shaw.
Chuck served his country proudly aboard a nuclear submarine in the U.S. Navy. He was also a foster parent for many years. Chuck also drove charter busses for group trip and excursions. Most recently he was employed by Eldorado Golf Course in Mason as a golf professional. Along with golf, music was one of Chuck’s passions. He could even play the piano by ear.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place, and a private family service will take place at a later date.
