He was married to Vicki Buitendyk on May 15, 2021. Chuck worked as a welder for Leedy Manufacturing for 45 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Church of Grand Rapids. He had a passion for his family, helping others, fixing everything and his faith in God.
He is survived by his wife Vicki, his son Randall (Sarah) Buitendyk, his daughter Jamie (Avery) Williams, Erik (Kathy) Heyboer, Gretchen Barendse, Jason (Elsbeth) Heyboer, Katie (Timothy) Butler, Jack (Christina) DeRyke, Jamie DeRyke, and Ryan Dulyea; his brothers Dennis, Edward, Martin Buitendyk; his sister Sharon (Douglas) Theule; Grandchildren, Monica Allman, Brandon Buitendyk, Elisha Buitendyk, Melissa Buitendyk, Isaiah Williams, Olivia Williams, and Great-Granddaughter Charlette Buitendyk. Charles had a multitude of bonus Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly with love and food in their hearts.
Chuck was preceded in death by his loving wife of 25 years Linda Buitendyk; his mother Joyce and father Issac; and his brother, Robert Buitendyk.
We welcome you to join the family for a visitation on Sunday October 18, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm at St. Paul's Church of Grand Rapids, 2650 Lake Michigan Drive NW Grand Rapids MI 49505. The Funeral Mass will be at the same location on Monday October 19, 2026 at 11am with a luncheon to follow.
