Christopher William Ward, age 48, was born on August 6, 1977, and he was surrounded by his family when he went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2026. A resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Christopher was a kind-hearted, thoughtful, and compassionate individual who was cherished by all who knew him.
He will be remembered for his bright spirit and his readiness to help others. He was a talented artist who enjoyed oil painting. Chris loved his pets and their companionship. His gentle nature touched the lives of many, and his contagious smile left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be dearly missed.
Chris is survived by his siblings: Tonya (Chasity, Nadine), Joe (Char), Tracy (Bill), Kenny (Rosemary), Vaughn (Rachael), and Andy (Katie). He was a beloved uncle to all his nieces and nephews and had many cousins and an abundance of friends. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Sandra.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
