Daniel Edward Poniatowski was born on August 29, 1953 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and died on January 6, 2014 from complications of kidney disease. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald J. Poniatowski. Surviving are his wife Julie (nee Vidervol) Poniatowski of 18 ½ years going on 23 ½ because it took him 5 years to ask. Also surviving are his mother Dolores Poniatowski, sister Mary (Rick) Szczepanski and brother Tom (Deb) Poniatowski. Dan worked for Canteen Services for over 40 years as a service tech. He loved the blues and was known as Dan the Blues Man. He was handy and loved building and fixing things. He will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to Reyers North Valley Chapel for visitation on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 5:30-9:00 pm. The family would like to extend a thank you to all the healthcare providers that “fixed him up” over the years and a special thanks to Spectrum Health Hospice for helping him find peace.
