David L. VanDyke, Sr., aged 81 of Grand Rapids, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011. Surviving are his sons, David L. VanDyke, Jr., Chris and Michelle VanDyke, Greg VanDyke; His granddaughter, Theresa VanDyke. David volunteered countless hours for many Little Leagues as well as the Rocket Football program, he sponsored through his Prep Sport Centre numerous all sports teams in the Grand Rapids area, and was an active member with St. Al's Cara Club for many years. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Reyers North Valley Chapel. Interment in Fairplains Cemetery.
