Diane Theresa Conklin

Diane was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on April 6, 1936, to Daniel and Ann (Gillis) Kaslow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Conklin, of 47 loving years, and her son, David Conklin.

Diane is survived by her son, Richard (Janice) Conklin, her grandson, Ricky (Jordan) Conklin, her great-granddaughter, Alexandra “Lexi” Conklin, her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kaslow and Norma McDonald, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Outgoing, kind-hearted, and devoted to those she loved, Diane spent much of her career as a server at Kent Country Club, where she was cherished by members and coworkers alike. She was an avid camper and made countless friendships through the years at Hungry Horse Campground. Above all else, Diane's greatest joy was her family. She was especially thrilled to become a great-grandmother and proudly embraced the title "Gee Gee". Her love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered always.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Edison Christian Life Services and Faith Hospice, especially Nurse Sue and Nurse Sarah, for their compassionate care, patience, and kindness. The family would also like to thank Rev. Joachim Lally for his spiritual guidance, comfort, and grace. Lastly the family would like to thank the many kind friends and neighbors that were always there for Diane throughout her life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1120 Four Mile Road NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, with Rev. Joachim Lally as Celebrant. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the Mass.

A private burial will take place at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, where Diane will be laid to rest beside her husband and son.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice or Edison Christian Life Services.

As Diane always said, "May the good Lord take a liking to you."
