Dolores Hernandez-Colon, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2016, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, Gilberto Colon-Rivera, her children, Emily Bazan, Teresa (Tyrone) Parnell; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Bazan, Timothy Espindola, Ricardo Aleman, Laura Soto, Victor Soto Jr.; 4 great grandchildren, Da'zion Jones, La'Shawnti Pearson, Kei'Shawn Pearson, Rolando Espindola; 2 sisters Carmen Bazan, Martha (Juan) Gonzalez and 2 brothers, Lorenzo (Rosalinda) Hernandez, and Jose Reyna. She was very caring and loving person. She would help translate for Hispanic families and teach them English. She would help anyone in need. She loved being around her family. Visitation will be held at Reyers North Valley Chapel in Grand Rapids on Thursday August 11, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm. Burial with prayers will be at Fairplains Cemetery Friday August 12, 2016 at 11 am.
