He was a man above all men. He was more of a father to me than the one that I had. As my heart bleeds and tears flow from my eyes as I write this, I pray dear Father in Heaven, that you will be with each and every member of his family. He has been promoted to a new life, a life that Jesus Christ promised us throughout his word. The past is the past, and so today he begins his eternal life. As much as it pains us to lose such a man, Christ tells us that he simply asleep. I know personally, that he was a man of God, so lets celebrate his life with Christ and know that he has been promoted to his ever lasting home. Pops, I love you and will miss you. Glenn Shearer Jr.
