Donna Jean Hoover

Donna Jean Hoover, age 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Hoover in 1994; a son, Charles Mark Hoover; daughter-in-law, Marcia Faye Hoover; and a grandson, Charles Issac Hoover. Surviving are her children, Michael (Carol) Hoover, Margaret (Chet) Crisher, Janet (David) Pingel, and Thomas (Mary) Hoover; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great granchildren. Donna loved to be outdoors and her passions included fishing, hunting and gardening. She would enjoy trips up North to the Two Hearted River to hunt for Agates. Later in life after raising her children, she went back to college and obtained her Master’s degree and became a teacher. She taught for the Grand Rapids Public Schools for many years. Donna loved to travel to Marathon Key, FL to spend time with her family. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 11 am at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 10 am. Donna will be laid to rest beside her husband at Blythefield Memory Gardens.
