

Donna Jean Rosel, passed away on September 27, 2017 at the age of 87. Donna was the oldest child of William and Dortha Rabe, and the apple of their eye. She had a spirit full of kindness and generosity. Her many gifts included being the family historian, the best baker of molasses cookies, a great knitter of afghans, a cross stitching wiz, an excellent cook, a world traveler, a very special aunt to her many nieces and nephews, a good friend and neighbor, and a wife fully devoted to her husband, Ted. Donna spent most of her life residing in Grandville, and also Panama City Beach, FL. Her later years were spent at Clark Retirement Community. Donna was retired from Harlo where she had worked as a secretary. She was active for many years in the Lutheran, and also Methodist church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Donna is survived by her husband of 65 years, Theodore; her siblings Fred Rabe, Carol (Jay) Vandenberg, Robert (Bette) Rabe. Also, her sister-in-law Doris (William) Berrevoets, and brother-in-law Robert Henke; nieces and nephews. Per Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to honor Donna will be held at the Clark Retirement Chapel, 1551 Franklin SE, on Saturday, October 7, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation with family will take place one half hour prior to service. The family would like to sincerely thank Clark for all the wonderful care that was provided for Donna. In lieu of flowers you may make a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association or Clark Retirement. Envelopes will be available at the service.
