Dorce J. Carney, aged 98 of Grand Rapids, peacefully went to be with her Lord Wednesday, August 17, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, her son Patrick and his wife Jan. Surviving are her children, Eileen and Bernard Ottenjan, Rodger and Mary DeVoogd; Grandchildren, Rodger and Chris DeVoogd, Richard and Jessette DeVoogd, Meri and Matt Smith, Gary and Phyllis Ottenjan, Glen and Karen Ottenjan, and Greg Ottenjan; 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. Her sister, Gladys Deuel, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2727 5 Mile Rd. N.E. with Rev. Thomas Bartzsch officiating.
