Dorothy J. (Glupker) Hancock, aged 88 of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Holmes Hancock in 2002, and 7 siblings. Surviving are her children, Jim and Mary Ann Hancock of Grand Haven, Jill and Michael Jordon of Jackson, MI; Her grandchildren, Kristina and Ed Cole, Todd Hancock, Phillip Jordon, Gregory and Kortnie Jordon; 3 great grandchildren, Josh, Katelyn, and Ashley Cole. A sister-in-law, Peggie Glupker of Grand Rapids, many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was an operator with the Michigan Bell Telephone Company for 38 years, retiring in 1982, and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Reyers North Valley Chapel with Rev. James DeWitt officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Faith Hospice, or to the Northview Manor.
