Dorothy Peterson, aged 86, passed away on May 7, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Peterson, and brother Robert Kempf. Surviving are children; Lloyd Mark (Cherry) Peterson, Gloria (Larry) Weltevrede, Mary (Keith) Irving, grandchildren; Zachary (Madiha) Peterson, Lloyd James (Katie) Peterson, Robert Irving, Jean Irving, great-grandchild; Lloyd Robert Peterson, niece; Eleanor Kempf as well as several other nieces and nephews. Dorothy had a very strong devotion to both her family and most importantly her faith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening May 10, 2012 at 7p.m. at Faith United Church of God, 3290 Walker Ave N.W. with Rev. Steve McDaniel. Visitation will be held from 4-7p.m. on Wednesday May 9, 2012 also at church. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Church of God.
