

Dwight Alan Kubiak of Belmont, MI passed away on June 28, 2026 at the age of 79. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on January 17, 1947, to William and Vivian (Grille) Kubiak. He graduated from Catholic Central High School and received an accounting certificate from Davenport University.
On September 16, 1967, Dwight married the love of his life, Norma “Sue” Strahl. Dwight had a career in Heavy equipment and in commercial trucking and he owned Kubiak Standard Service center for many years. He was a member of the 406 Teamsters for over 45 years.
Dwight's greatest pride was his whole family! He was passionate about spending time with his family, as well as fishing, hunting, sprint car racing and road tripping. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Sixth Fleet in Europe during the Viet Nam War Conflict.
Dwight is survived by His wife of 58 years, Norma “Sue” Kubiak; children, Lee Kubiak (Rachel) of Elk Grove, CA, Corey Kubiak of Santa Cruz, CA, Cindy Murray (Brian) of Charlotte, MI; grandchildren, Chad Murray (Morgan) of Grand Haven, MI, Leah VanderHeide (Dustin) of Comstock Park, MI, Leah Kubiak of Elk Grove, CA and Emily Kubiak of Elk Grove, CA; four great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Robert Strahl (Lindsey) of Leesburg, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Kubiak; sister, Sandra Jackson; nephew, Duane Jackson; and special brother-in-law, Eugene Strahl.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on July 9, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
