Elizabeth J.(Scott) Birtles, aged 80 of Marne, passed to God Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Meadowlark Retirement Village in Sparta. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leon Scott, and her second husband, Norm Birtles. Surviving are her son Rob and Sandy Scott; Her grandchildren, Sarah and Dan Kelbel, Nathan Scott, many nieces and nephews (Aunt B ), and close family friends. Elizabeth was a true caregiver to many. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Service Of Remembrance will be held 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14 at the Reyers North Valley Chapel. Relatives and friends may meet her family one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Following the service, a reception will take place at the Pit Stop in Marne at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
