

Elizabeth (Liz) Ann Snyder Bush died peacefully with her children by her side on July 27, 2019. Liz was born October 12, 1946 in Columbus Ohio to Rita Clara Brown and Guy Eugene Snyder. She was preceded in death by her parents and longtime companion Robert Cammenga. She is survived by her sister Corliss (John) Lipzinski, her children Brian Bush and Cindy (Paul) Groh, grandchildren Preston, Spencer, and Evalynn Bush, nephew Joe (Rebecca) Lipzinski, niece Julie (Chris) Haskell. Liz spent most of her life in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She graduated from Central High School and attended Grand Valley State College. As a young adult she was very active in Community Theater, appearing in the chorus in such musicals as Oklahoma and Bye Bye Birdie. In addition, she did sewing / making of costumes for various other theater performances. She worked at Old Kent / Fifth Third Bank for many years, at first downtown as a teller and then in the adjustments department on East Paris. Her legacy was her children. Her family was everything to her. She was a great supporter of all of their activities. To say that she loved crafts is an understatement, her house was filled with fabric. She was the original “Potholder Lady”. Liz sewed quilts, made swags and created a business in her retirement with her products. Liz & Bob participated in many craft shows across Western Michigan. The kindness and care provided by Green Acres Assisted Living of Cedar Springs, Michigan and The Medical Team Hospice program is greatly appreciated.
