

Ellen Marie Naimo-Potter, aged 63 of Grand Rapids, passed peacefully into glory Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from surgery complications. She was born in Cherry Point, N.C. in the Spring of 1952 to Joseph, USMC and Betty Naimo who along with her aunts Patrina Naimo and Rosie Homrich, precede her in death. Ellen is survived by her devoted husband John Charles III and their son Brad (Sharon) Potter; grandchildren Alexis, Hailey and Braeden; first cousins Rosann and Erik, Delbert, Fred and Linda as well as several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening, photography, reading, cooking and was an avid collector of wolf and frog memorabilia. She was also an active participant of the Red Hat Society. Ellen will be fondly remembered by her family as being a devoted and loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother as well as a doting parent to her beloved Shih Tzus: Sierra, Jo-Jo, Muffin and Amber. Her grandchildren will especially miss how enjoyable she made every holiday, no matter how simple. A special event memorializing her life will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM at Reyers North Valley.
