Ethel Belle Ripley White

Ethel Belle White (Ripley), aged 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at her residence in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years James; brothers, Stanley, William, Clarence; and sisters Jane, Esther, Barbara and Peggy. Surviving are her children, James (Janet) White of North Carolina, Cheryl Landon of Texas, Ronald (Caron) White of Arizona, Karen (Larry) Schmidt of Rockford, and Tom (Kris) White of Grand Rapids; grandchildren Allison, Vickie, Denise, Amy, RJ, Ryan, Jessica, Jennifer, Jason, Ben, Erin, Zach, as well as 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ethel was a proud Former Commander and Chaplain of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Please join the family for visitation from 6-8pm on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 4-5pm followed by her Funeral Service at 5pm with Pastor Kenneth Koets officiating. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Michigan and ask memorial contributions be made in memory of Ethel Belle White to Hospice of Michigan.
