Francis J. (Mac) McGettigan, aged 94, "he would tell you he was 100", passed away peacefully Friday, August 5, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, and his sons, Patrick and David. Surviving are his daughter, Laurie (Gary) MacLaren. His grandchildren, Michael and Janet McGettigan, Mark and Theresa McGettigan, Timothy McGettigan, Jennifer and Pete Mason, Jason and Jill MacLaren; 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. His daughter-in-law, Cindy McGettigan, many nieces and nephews. Mac proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1120 4 Mile Rd. N.E. (meet at church), with Rev. Tom Page as Celebrant. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. If you would like to pay your respects to Mac, please visit the Reyers North Valley Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday where a Scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Spectrum Hospice.
