Gladys L. Kittle, 103, of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully, at Porter Hills Village, on January 15, 2024. She was born on September 4, 1920 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Faye Kittle. As well as, brother, Earl Kittle and his wife, Annette. Gladys was a graduate of Western Michigan University and was a dedicated elementary school teacher in Grand Rapids for more than 30 years. Gladys was an avid traveler throughout the U.S., Europe, and beyond. She loved to dance and took part in competitions. As a patron of the arts, she thoroughly enjoyed attending the ballet, opera, symphony, theater, music concerts, and museums. Gladys belonged to many organizations and was a lifelong active member of Park Congregational Church. Family and friends meant the world to Gladys. She was a devoted and beloved aunt. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Diane (Kittle) Lincoln and husband, Lou, Bruce Kittle and wife, Kay, 3 great nephews, 1 great niece, and 7 great great nieces and nephews. Gladys will be laid to rest in Fairplains Cemetery of Grand Rapids. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Hospice, Park Congregational Church, The Porter Hills Benevolent Fund, or to a charity of your choice.
