

Growing up, Glen was the youngest of 10 children. He married the love of his life, Betty (Mahler) Burgett, on September 4, 1965 and the couple spent many wonderful years together. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served two tours in Vietnam from November of 1965 to May of 1974. After his military career, and many years “wandering in the wilderness” Glen ultimately fulfilled the call of God on life. In 1988 he became the founding Pastor of Hastings Apostolic Tabernacle, and went on to Pastor Abundant Life Church of Gobles until 2008. Glen had a passion for music throughout his life that carried on in his family. Glen deeply loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Glen is survived by: wife, Betty Burgett; son, David (Becky) Burgett of Grand Rapids; daughter, Angela (Andrew) McDonald of Marshall; grandchildren, Shanna of Grand Rapids, Nathan (Marisa) of Grand Rapids, Nick of Grand Rapids, Myles (Katelyn) of Auburn Hills, and Mason (Hannah) of Brighton; 10 great grandchildren; and sisters, Willie Lou of Lawton, MI and Wilma Jean of Arkansas, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at 1pm at The Pentecostals of Kentwood Church, 2627 44th St. SE, Kentwood, MI 49512. The family will begin welcoming guests at 12:30pm.
