Glenn Ray Greer

Glenn Ray Greer, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 5, 2017 in the company of his family and in the comfort of his home. He was born in Lancaster, Kentucky to the late Gordon and Blanche Greer. Glenn is also predeceased by his sister Shirley Hohensee and brother-in-law Tom Alley. Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Judy [Pickett]; sons Gary (Betsy) Greer and Jim Greer; 4 grandchildren Hannah, Owen, Cooper and Lucas; siblings Morgan, Carole, Dennis and Bill; sister-in-law Jill Alley; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a proud member of the US Marine Corps and he was a committed employee of General Motors for 30 years, working as an electrician. Glenn was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served faithfully for many years. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing with his buddies. He also enjoyed golfing with his sons and friends. He loved to be in the company of his family and was considered a champion grandfather to all. Please join Glenn’s family for a celebration of his life at 2pm on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, (2 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503). One hour of visitation will take place at church prior to the funeral service and a fellowship luncheon will follow.
