On Monday, May 26, 2014 Gordon E. Vanderstel, aged 80, was called home to be with his Lord. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of nearly 61 years, Marilyn Vanderstel; their children David and Sheryl Vanderstel, Laurie and Roger Shoemaker, and Gerald Vanderstel, and 5 grandchildren. Gordon will be remembered for his strong faith and as an extremely caring, giving man who was passionate about spreading God’s Word. His generosity, humor, and kind heart were a true inspiration to his family and friends. He lived his life with complete love, devotion, and integrity. He was a retiree of Rapistan with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed writing his own music, playing the organ, reading, and gardening. Please join the family at Reyers North Valley Chapel for a memorial visitation from 12 noon to 1pm on Saturday, May 31, 2014, with a Memorial Service directly following at 1pm.
